Dr. Nadia Rashid is currently working as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Research Centre at University of Kentucky. Her research is focused on studying the role of renal - glucose transporter 2 (GLUT2) in regulating glucose homeostasis and exploring its therapeutic implications in treatment of diabetes and obesity.  With a strong foundation in biological sciences, she specializes in molecular biology, proteomics and metabolomics. She is passionate about advancing biotechnological innovations that address both physical and mental health issues. She has published her research in peer reviewed journals and has been recognized for excellence in research communication at numerous platforms. She is dedicated to research and fosters scientific aptitude in graduate students by providing them mentorship.  As a nature lover and passionate photographer, she finds inspiration in the natural world, striving to make a meaningful impact in both research and education.
