Yasmin das Graças is a postdoctoral scholar in the College of Dentistry at the University of Kentucky, working in the Division of Periodontology. She completed her Ph.D. in Periodontology at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, with part of her doctoral training conducted at Harvard University. Her research focuses on host–microbe interactions, antibiotic therapy, and molecular mechanisms underlying aggressive and advanced forms of periodontitis. Outside of academia, she is passionate about science communication, travel, and promoting global opportunities for dentists pursuing academic careers abroad.
